Phase1 Begins December 18

We are pleased to share that work will begin on Phase 1 construction in the Terrace Dining Room (TDR) beginning on December 18, after final exams.  Under the current renovation plan, the space will be remade into a best-in-class dining facility, drawing inspiration from popular and successful food halls across the country.

During the first phase of the TDR renovation, we will close part of the rear seating areas behind the rotisserie station to work on constructing a new kitchen space that will enable us to meet our community members needs and improve the visibility of our kitchen areas. Our spring operations plan includes noise and air quality measures to ensure a continued positive student dining experience. Stations will be deep cleaned and sanitized and allergen test strips will be used to ensure clean and safe surfaces for all AU students.

As students return to campus in January, they will find several of their favorite stations relocated as part of the Phase 1 renovation. Although stations will be relocated, AU students will still have all of the station offerings previously provided. Rooted, United Table, Delicious Without and Avoiding Gluten will be moved to what was previously the Deli and Desert stations. Any AU student with allergy or nutritional concerns due to the renovation, can contact the campus registered dietitian, Taylor Guskind.
