What to expect in 128?
AU Kitchen is excited for the updates and opening of a brand new TDR in the fall. As we begin the next phase of the TDR renovation, AU Kitchen will be temporarily moving to MGC 128. Here are some more details about this transition:
TDR will close its doors at the end of dinner service on Friday, March 29th, and MGC 128 will open for breakfast on Monday, April 1st. Don't worry – the temporary space will operate on the same hours as TDR, ensuring you can enjoy your favorite meals at your usual times.
During the relocation weekend, we've got some special dining events lined up for you! Indulge in a catered brunch at the Tavern from 10AM – 2PM on both Saturday and Sunday, and enjoy a pop-up dinner station featuring hot proteins, vegetables, starches, and salads from 5PM – 8:30PM. Plus, additional retail locations like Panera, Halal Shack, Baba’s Pizza, and True Burger will be open with additional hours. In MGC 128, all your favorite food stations from TDR will still be available, including Rooted for vegan options, Delicious Without for allergen friendly meals, Avoiding Gluten, and Bowls & Beyond serving up halal proteins. Plus, True Burger will now offer omelets and breakfast sandwiches for pick-up during breakfast and brunch hours.
Sustainability Practices
At AU Kitchen, sustainability is a top priority. That's why we're partnering with the Office of Sustainability for Food Waste Prevention Week and continuing to implement compostable service ware and reusable OZZI containers to minimize our environmental footprint. This option will allow students to take food on the go! Our dedicated team ensures that food scraps are composted throughout meal preparation, reducing waste and contributing to a greener future.
